Over 80 pounds of illegal drugs were seized at the Blue Water Bridge Friday morning. Customs and Border Protection officials tell WPHM that cocaine and fentanyl were found in the cab of a tractor-trailer destined for Canada. The commercial carrier was inspected on the US side of the border and was hauling a shipment of flavoring syrup originating from California. CBP officials say the driver became visibly shaken during the examination of his cab. Officers discovered several bricks of suspected cocaine and fentanyl totaling in excess of 80 pounds. The driver was arrested by federal officials and faces federal prosecution for the exportation of illegal drugs.
