Port Huron Township has a new fire chief. Dan Mainguy, a longtime member of the Port Huron Fire Department, has been tapped by township supervisor Robert Lewandowski to head Port Huron Township’s fire department. Mainguy spent 29 years of his career with the City of Port Huron, holding a variety of leadership including battalion chief, operations chief, and most recently, fire chief. He retired in July of this year, with Cory Nicholson taking the reigns of the Port Huron Fire Department. Mainguy will fill the vacancy left by Craig Miller, who resigned from the Port Huron Township Fire Department for a chief’s position in Chesterfield Township last month.
