Amtrak passenger arrested for possession of crystal meth

A Port Huron Amtrak passenger in custody for being in possession of $2,000 dollars worth of crystal meth. According to the St. Clair County Drug Task Force, authorities received a tip about a man attempting to bring a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine into Port Huron by train. In the early morning hours of December 15, the suspect was spotted exiting the Port Huron bound train at the 16th Street Amtrak station. D.T.F. agents made contact with the man, a 46 year old from Port Huron, who was believed to be in possession of drugs. Crystal meth was found in the subject’s coat and he was arrested at the scene without incident.  He is currently being housed at the St. Clair Count Jail and faces possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine charges.
