Statewide gas prices edge lower

Fuel prices across the state of Michigan are continuing their downward trend. According to AAA of Michigan, statewide gas prices fell 8 cents this past week reaching a average daily gas price of $2.26 a gallon. The auto club says that’s about 19 cents less than the same time last year. Across the region, pumps in Lapeer and Macomb Counties are asking about $2.24 on average for a gallon of regular unleaded, meanwhile gas is slightly cheaper, $2.22 a gallon in Sanilac Country and St. Clair County Pumps are at the statewide average of $2.26 per gallon for regular unleaded.
