At least one local business is curtailing their hours, citing lower than normal foot traffic in Downtown Port Huron. Country Style Market will now be closed Sundays and Mondays starting this weekend. According to a statement shared on social media by the owners, the grocery store has had a significant drop in sales since Labor Day. Owner Steve Fernandez says he’s had to cut back hours for staff and has lost some staff members due to a lack of available hours. He adds that they will re-evaluate the store’s needs in November and may extend hour of operation again at that time. For now though, they’ll be open Tuesday through Saturday 11am until 6pm. More information can be found on Country Style Market’s Facebook page.
