A road construction project on a busy commercial corridor in Fort Gratiot Township is scheduled to begin this weekend. The St. Clair County Road Commission says Krafft Road from Pine Grove to 24th Avenue will close Sunday for resurfacing. The posted detour will be M-136 to M-25. A majority of the work will be completed within one day and access will not be maintained for local traffic. This project is financed by the Federal Highway Administration and St. Clair County Road Commission at a total estimated construction cost of just over 100-thousand dollars. Work will be performed by Ace-Saginaw Paving.
