The Port Huron Fire Department responded to a fire at City Flats Hotel Tuesday afternoon in Port Huron. Chief Corey Nicholson tells WPHM it happened shortly after 4pm in the elevator hoist shaft on the roof of the former Michigan National Bank Building at Water and Military Streets. The cause of the fire is ongoing however Chief Nicholson says there was active renovation work ongoing at the time the fire broke out. No injuries were reported and there was minor water damage reported.
