
The National Weather Service has confirmed five tornadoes touched down in Michigan on Saturday. The strongest was near Port Austin, in the Thumb Region. Forecasters say the EF-2 tornado had top winds of 120-miles per hour and was on the ground for about seven miles. There were six injuries reported. At least six homes were damaged and a couple garages and a barn were destroyed. The National Weather Service says there were also tornadoes in Ionia, Isabella, and Mecosta Counties Saturday. There were no injuries associated with those tornadoes.
