Port Huron Police Officer Dennis Huisman has been honored by the National Association of School Resource Officers. Heisman serves as a school resource officer through a shared agreement between the Port Huron Area School District and City of Port Huron. Huisman has been designated a School Resource Officer Practitioner, a designation that comes after fulfilling certain education and training requirements.
