Free COVID-19 testing with no prescription necessary will be available starting Tuesday in Port Huron. The St. Clair County Health department will be offering the tests at their offices on 28th Street in Port Huron weekdays 8:00am-4:30pm. “We will test anybody who wants one,” said Medical health Officer Dr. Annette Mercatante, provided that they are over 18 years of age. Mercatante says those seeking a test will need to make an appointment by calling 987-5300. In St. Clair County to date, just over 6300 COVID-19 tests have been deployed. About 7-percent have been positive, and nearly 93-percent were negative for the virus.
