Local COIVD-19 count shows smallest daily increase in nearly a month

Between 10am Sunday and 10am Monday, the number of positive COVID-19 tests results in St. Clair County increased by one. That marks the smallest daily increase since March 17th. There are currently 219 county-wide cases as of Monday afternoon. 59 of those individuals have been hospitalized, an increase of 4 over the past 24 hours. A total of 6 St. Clair County Residents have died from the virus. About a quarter of the county’s cases are concentrated in either the City of Port Huron or Port Huron Township. There is also a significant number of cases located in southern areas of the county such as Clay and Ira townships. The number of COVID-19 cases in Sanilac County has held steady at 23 total positive tests. Most of those cases, well over half, are located in the southeast quadrant of the county including the Croswell and Lexington areas.
