Officer attends selective federal academy

A captain from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office has received top honors from the F.B.I. National Academy. Captain Mat King was among 258 law enforcement officers from across the country who recently graduated from the program which offers 10 weeks of advanced investigative training. Sheriff Tim Donnellon, also an alumni of the program, says he is, “Extremely proud of Captain King’s accomplishment,” adding that only a select few officers are selected for the program. Mat King has been with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office for 21 years and currently supervises the Special Response Team.
