Computer virus cancels classes in Richmond

Classes in the Richmond Community School District have been called off for the next two days. According to the district, several servers were attacked by a ransomware virus over the holiday break. The virus affected critical operating systems in the district including classroom technology. Richmond schools is working with contractors to resolve the problem and say no student or staff information has been compromised. As a result of the attack, school is canceled today and Friday at all Richmond School buildings.
