Car show returns to Port Huron this weekend

This Saturday is the annual Mainstreet Memories Car Show in Port Huron. The event kicks off at 10am on Saturday and runs until 4pm, featuring a variety of classic automobiles all to benefit the Council on Aging serving St. Clair County. Ron Steward, president of the Mainstreet Memories car show says this year’s event will be even bigger and better, telling WPHM’s Paul Miller it will feature more cars and a larger footprint. Steward says over 500 entries are expected, pushing the car show south across the Military Street bridge to approximately Court Street. Mainstreet Memories is a non-judged car show and that participants will be coming from all across Michigan as well as surrounding states and Canada this weekend for the event. Pre-registration for Mainstreet Memories is closed however those who wish to participate can pay $15 the day of the show. Steward adds his organization has helped to raise over $37,000 dollars for the Council on Aging over the past three years of the event.
