Dustin Peterson’s first big league hit was an RBI double in the top of the 9th, breaking a 1-1 tie, and lifting the Detroit Tigers to a 3-1 win over the Yankees in New York on Tuesday night. John Hicks and Jordy Mercer also knocked in runs for the (3-3) Tigers. The final game of a three game series between the teams is set for 4 PM on Wednesday at Yankee Stadium.
