Despite striking out 50 times in four games, the Detroit Tigers managed a split in Toronto over the weekend in their season opening four game series with the Blue Jays. Jeimer Candelario had five hits and two RBI in the 4-3, eleven inning win on Sunday. Niko Goodrum added three hits for the Tigers, who open a three game series in New York against the Yankees on Monday evening.
