
The knife wielding man who was injured in a police shooting earlier this month in Port Huron has been arraigned on multiple felony charges. According to the Port Huron Police Department, 21 year old Genio Scott Morgan of Lexington will face carjacking, assault with a dangerous weapon, and obstruction charges in connection to a January 5th incident. Officers were called to the parking lot of the McDonald’s restaurant in the 2500 block of Pine Grove Avenue in Port Huron on reports of an attempted carjacking. When they arrived, the found Morgan stabbing himself with a knife. When he was asked to put down the weapon, authorities say he charged at officers, resulting in one officer shooting at him multiple times. He was taken to an area hospital and is now housed at the St. Clair County Jail. Morgan is being held on a half million dollar bond and will appear in court for a preliminary hearing on January 22nd.
