McLaren Port Huron is inviting the public to get a sneak preview of its new patient tower this weekend. The $161 million dollar, four-story expansion includes a new emergency room and intensive care unit. All 72 patient rooms in the new tower will be private, an approach that Chief Operating Officer John Liston says will soon be coming to the entire McLaren Port Huron campus. Liston says once patients move into the new tower, they will begin renovating the older portions of the hospital which will also include private rooms. Work began on the new south tower in 2016. The public can check out the new hospital expansion Saturday from 10am to 2pm at McLaren Port Huron Hospital. Visit https://mclaren.org/porthuron for more information.
