New year, new road projects

More orange barrels are on their way to the local area in 2018. The Michigan Department of Transportation says with the new year will come a handful of projects across St. Clair and Sanilac Counties. One of those projects will be at the intersection of Pine Grove and Tenth Avenue. MDOT project manager Erik Tamlyn says the six-way intersection will be reworked with the goal of making it safer. Construction at 10th and Pine Grove will begin this spring. Tamlyn also tells WPHM that MDOT will be replacing a bridge on M-25 in Fort Gratiot Township that will close the state highway between Kraft and Keewahdin Roads for about a week in Early May. Further north, the intersection of M-25 and M-46 will be reconstructed in Port Sanilac.
