SC4 silences student radio station

St. Clair County Community College has turned off radio station WSGR. College officials say the station was used as a part of the broadcasting degree program at SC-4, and with the college ending that program, there has been a lack of student interest. WSGR broadcasted at 91.3 FM and first launched in 1974. WSGR’s frequency is non commercial, meaning only schools, churches, and the like can broadcast on it.
