A new downtown student housing project is set to take off for St. Clair County Community College. SC4’s first-ever student housing project is expected to open to students next August after the finalized purchase of the Main Street Lodge on Huron Avenue last Friday. Plans were announced to renovate the motel into a 40-room complex housing up to 80 students. SC4 paid $550,000 for the motel space. Renovations are expected to cost around $2 Million.
