Richmond opened the season with a 19-10 victory over rival Marysville on Thursday night, as the high school football season got underway. The Blue Devils Noah Montanari rushed for 96 yards in the win, while the Vikings Brian Butler gained 145 yards rushing in a losing effort. In other games, Port Huron Northern beat Fraser 20-12, while Port Huron High lost 28-13 at Utica, and Marine City bested Algonac 42-6 powered by two Dawson Haney touchdown runs.
