The first round of the Larry Manz Hockey Tournament took place on Friday at McMorran Arena. In the opening game Marysville beat Anchor Bay 5-4 in double overtime on Hunter Miller’s fourth goal of the game for the Vikings. Evan Prill scored three times for the Tars. In the second game, Branden Dickinson (2-2), Chad Noetzel (1-3), and Cam Barlass (1-3) all had four points, as Port Huron Northern topped Port Huron 9-1. Port Huron plays Anchor Bay in the consolation game on Saturday at 1 PM, then the Huskies play the Vikings in the championship game at 3 PM.
