Anthony Mantha scored four goals, including the game winner with 53 seconds left in the third period on Sunday night, to lead the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-3 win over the Dallas Stars. Mantha is the first Red Wings to score four goals in a game since Johan Franzen in 2011, and the first to do it in a Wing’s home opener since John Sorrell in 1933. The Wings have won two in a row and host the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday at LCA.
