Tomion Resigns

St. Clair County Commissioner Karl Tomion is resigning from the board. Tomion says though he retired from professional service in municipal government a few years ago, he’s ready to retire from serving on boards and commissions, too, as he and his wife plan to move to Kalamazoo to be closer to their young granddaughter. Those who wish to apply to fill his seat on the county board must submit a letter and a resume’ by June 12th. Appliants must be a registered voter and live in District 2, which includes the north end of Port Huron as well as Fort Gratiot and Burtchville townships.
