The Pittsburgh Pirates scored five runs in the fifth and beat the Tigers 8-6 in the second game of a double header on Sunday, sweeping a three game series in Detroit to open the baseball season. Miguel Cabrera had three hits, including a home run, and scored twice while driving in two runs for the Tigers. Detroit will open a three game series with Kansas City on Monday at Comerica Park. Francisco Liriano will start for the Tigers, with first pitch set for 1:10 PM.
