
The City of Port Huron, and Port Huron Township, dealing with rising river levels and localized flooding. Yesterday afternoon, the Black River rose almost 4 feet in certain areas, prompting the deployment of over a thousand sand bags in certain areas. City officials say ice breaking efforts in downtown helped keep the Black River flowing, however ice jams further up the river continue to impede the flow of water. Statewide, flood warnings continue to be in effect for areas of the Flint, Saginaw, Grand, and Clinton Rivers.
