What’s next for the Birchwood Mall? Fort Gratiot Township officials will be studying the possibilities of what to do with the vacant Sears and now soon to close Macy’s buildings at the mall. Fort Gratiot Township Supervisor Jorja Baldwin says Michigan State University is helping the township explore the opportunities for the empty buildings. Also in Fort Gratiot Township, Gander Mountain is expected to re-open and the new Panada Express Chinese restaurant is now open near Meijer.
