The Port Huron Northern boy’s basketball team opened the season on Thursday with an amazing come back win, 54-53 over Anchor Bay. Northern trailed by as many as 17 points in the second half and were down by 13 with 2:26 to play, before rallying for the victory. Dane Vos had 13 points, including the go ahead hoop with 12 seconds left in the 4th. Ben Walton added 12 for Northern, who also got key contributions from Josh Ward and Kofi Kimbrell, who each scored nine. Justin Schutz had a game high 14 for the Tars, while Josh Greenberg added 13 points.
