A Capac family doctor is being sent to federal prison on child pornography charges.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 62-year-old Robert Glapinski was sentenced this week to 15 years after pleading guilty to distributing thousands of images and videos of child sexually abusive material.
The case began in March of 2025, after Google sent a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about sexual content involving prepubescent children being shared in a chat. Investigators traced the activity to Glapinski.
A search of his home in April uncovered more than 2,500 images and over 150 videos. Glapinski, who practiced at Capac Family Medicine treating both adults and children, admitted to viewing, receiving, and possessing the material.
The investigation was led by the U.S. Secret Service and Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan.
