Rookie Eric Skoglund made his big league debut and tossed six and a third scoreless innings against the Tigers, allowing just two hits, on his way to a 1-0 win on Tuesday night in Kansas City. Eric Hosmer singled in the games only run off Justin Verlander in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Tigers managed just three hits in the game. Detroit is (3-7) on a road trip that wraps on on Thursday night against the Royals in Kansas City.
