Federal officials say a Kimball Township man serving a 50-year prison sentence for child sexual abuse has died in custody.
31-year-old Austin Sabb-Visga was found unresponsive the morning of Friday, September 19th at a federal penitentiary in Sumpterville, Florida. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Sabb-Visga and his husband, Todd Sabb-Visga were once the owners of an equestrian center in Kimball Township. Both men were convicted last year of sexually exploiting children in their care, producing over 900 videos and photos of the abuse, and sharing the material online. At least four victims were identified.
The FBI is investigating Sabb-Visga’s death, and prison officials say the incident poses no threat to staff, inmates, or the public.
