Canadian border officials say a major drug seizure was made earlier this month at the Blue Water Bridge.

According to the Canada Border Services Agency, officers discovered 187 kilograms, or roughly 412 pounds of suspected cocaine hidden inside six boxes during a secondary inspection of a commercial truck crossing into Canada from the U.S. on June 12th. A drug-detection dog reportedly helped uncover the narcotics.

Authorities estimates the street value of the haul at $23.3 million Canadian. The truck’s driver, 27-year-old Karamveer Singh of Brampton, Ontario, was arrested and turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He faces federal charges of cocaine importation and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Officials say the investigation remains ongoing and that this marks the fourth major cocaine seizure at the Blue Water Bridge so far this year. In total, nearly one thousand kilograms of cocaine have been intercepted at southern Ontario ports of entry in 2025.
