Suspect found in Pine Grove Park Shooting

Port Huron Police say they’ve made an arrest in connection to a weekend shooting near Pine Grove Park. The incident happened around 7:15 Saturday evening in the area of Pine Grove Avenue and Prospect Street. The suspect reportedly fired several shots from one vehicle into another as part of an ongoing dispute with the victim, hitting their vehicle multiple times. No serious injuries were reported as a result of the altercation.

Investigators say the suspect was found Monday at a residence in Sterling Heights and taken into custody with help from Sterling Heights and Troy Police. 21-year-old Zachary Adam Stein was arraigned Tuesday on seven charges, including assault with intent to murder, destruction of property, and multiple felony weapons offenses. Stein is being held on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in a St. Clair County court again on June 3rd.
