A late-night fire erupted at a Marine City business – keeping crews on scene through the early morning. Marine City Area Fire Authority says the blaze broke out at The Corner Grocery at Fairbanks and North Parker around 9:30 p.m. Crews from St. Clair, Algonac, Clay, and Ira Township responded with automatic mutual aid. Firefighters remained on-scene for hours, putting out remaining hotspots. The building was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries have been reported. Investigators are now working to determine the cause.
