A parcel of agricultural land within the City of Marysville may become an new development. A company called Interstate Capital is looking to build on the plot of land along Range Road between 18th Street and Cuttle Road. Up to three structures could be built at that site, with potential uses including – but not limited to – manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution.
“Initially it would be one building, once that sold, the next one would be built,” Mayor Hayman told WPHM. “It’s between a $75 and $90 million project.”
Hayman says attractive part of their proposal is that Interstate Capital plans to cover the costs of building water and sewer infrastructure in that area. She also adds that the additional tax base and potential jobs are welcome news, as the MOPAR parts distribution facility is slated to close.
Marysville City Manager Randy Fernandez told WPHM in a statement that at least two public hearing will need to be scheduled in the coming weeks for the development. The parcel of land is zoned “planned unit development” meaning City Council will need to sign off on site plans before it can be built.
