The deadline to file for Port Huron Mayor and City Council elections has come and gone. As of 4pm Tuesday, two candidates have returned petitions to run for mayor, and a total of nine are running for three city council spots.
Port Huron voters are choosing between incumbent Mayor, Pauline Repp and Councilwoman, Anita Ashford for the office of mayor. Additionally, Barbara Payton, Richard Carwile, Holden Gauthier, John Middleton, Brian Farquar, and Jason Heilig are running for council against incumbents Sherry Archibald, Teri Lamb, and Bob Mosurak.
The office of mayor is a two-year term, while council members serve staggered four-year terms. The election will take place Tuesday, November 5th. Pictured Above: Anita Ashford (L) and Pauline Repp (R)
