Casco Township standoff leads to arrest

An investigation into a drive-by shooting in Metro Detroit ended with two men being taken into custody at a St. Clair County trailer park after a brief standoff. Eastpointe Police reported a vehicle carrying three people suspected to be involved in that shooting were driving to the Ravinia Anchor Bay, formerly known as Americana Estates in Casco Township.

According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, two men and one woman got out of the vehicle when it reached a home in the neighborhood. Authorites attemnted to negotiate with the barricaded suspects, one of which was reportedly carrying a rifle. Sheriff’s deputies deployed “less lethial tactics” to get the suspects to exit the home, and they eventually surrended to law enforcement without incident.

The two men are now in custody with the Eastpointe Police Department. St. Clair County Deputies,  K-9 Unit, and Special Response Team aided at the scene along with Richmond Police, Macomb County Deputies, and the Port Huron Special Response Team.
