Construction is set to begin this week on nearly 4.5 miles of Port Huron city streets in the Harrison Point neighborhood. Twelve sections of road between 13th and 17th streets, south of Water Street and north of Lapeer, are scheduled to be resurfaced. The area will be closed to thru traffic with signs being posted throughout the area. Along with new asphalt pavement, the project is set to include select concrete curb and gutter replacements, and ADA-accessible sidewalk ramp improvements. Funding for the project comes from the City of Port Huron’s voter-approved street millage.
