Just over a mile-and-a-half of road from Clinton Avenue, South to St. Clair city limits will be undergoing repairs to the concrete surface as well as improvements to sidewalk ramps. Drivers should expect alternating lane closures through early September. After Labor Day Weekend, M-29 will be fully closed and traffic will be detoured until construction is finished, which is expected to be sometime in October. The Michigan Department of Transportation is funding the almost million dollar project.
