Port Huron City Council has formally adopting their six priority areas for the upcoming year as outlined during last month’s goal setting session. They include an increased focus on small business attraction and retention, increased communication with residents, and the development of a strategic neighborhood revitalization plan. Council has also resolved to finalize a decision regarding the city’s Central Fire Station. Options include renovating the current station on River Street or moving the fire station to a location at White and 10th Streets. Additionally, council would like to continue to focus on tourism, and improve the infrastructure in the Connor Street area of the South Park neighborhood. Council approved there 2022-23 fiscal year goals Monday night.
