The City of Port Huron says there have been some delays in the leaf removal process this fall. According to City Manger James Freed, contractors from Emterra Environmental are having issues with staffing due to a labor shortage. He also says contractors had to deal with COVID-19 outbreaks among their staff and that leaves were very late to fall this year given the unseasonably warm weather. Emterra Environmental crews will continue to pick up leaves in the city until all are gone. They were originally scheduled to complete bulk leaf removal at the end of November.
