Port Huron Police say one of their patrol cars was stolen briefly yesterday evening. Police were in the process brining a citizen who needed medical attention to McLaren Port Huron Hospital shortly before 9pm Thursday. An unrelated 70 year old male patient from Lexington walked out of the hospital and entered the running police car. The man then drove the police car out of the hospital’s parking lot and south onto 10th Avenue and 10th Street. The patrol car struck another vehicle at the intersection of Lapeer driven by a 35 year old Fort Gratiot man. He and his 39 year old Port Huron passenger were uninjured. The suspect, believed to be disoriented, had a head injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
