A mechanical issue has deemed the Military Street bridge in Port Huron temporarily inoperable. According to Jocelyn Hall, MDOT regional spokesperson, the bridge has been manually opened into the upright position until replacement parts can be installed. This means that the bridge will be open to water traffic but not for vehicle traffic. Hall tells WPHM the replacement part is expected to be replaced Monday. Motorists wishing to cross the Black River will need to use the 7th or 10th street bridges until the issue is resolved.
