Half dozen suspects arrested after pair of drug busts

A total of six people were taking into custody following two separate drug busts in Port Huron Township and Marine City this past week.

According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department Drug Task Force, authorities searched a home in the 2400 block of Division Street in Port Huron Township Wednesday afternoon. Inside the home was crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, cash, and drug paraphernalia with a street value of over $9000. Two men and two women were arrested and taken to the St. Clair County Jail and will face a multitude of drug charges including maintaining a drug house and possession with intent to distribute crystal meth.

Later Wednesday evening, the Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Marine City Police Department, executed another search warrant. Authorities searched a home in the 400 block of Brown Street in Marine City shortly before midnight. An undisclosed value of cocaine, fentanyl, analogue pills, a handgun, digital scales and packaging material. A man and woman, both from Marine City, were arrested and transported to the St. Clair County Jail. The pair are expect to be arraigned on charges including  possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, cocaine, felony firearms, and maintaining a drug house.
