Gas prices decline compared to last week and last month

The price of a gallon of regular gasoline has dropped a few pennies in Michigan over the past week. AAA of Michigan says the statewide average for regular unleaded is $2.80 a gallon, two cents less than last week and four cents less than this time last month. The Central and Western UP have some of the highest prices in the state right now with some stations over$3.00 a gallon while the cheapest fuel can be found in the northern Lower Peninsula where prices are hovering around the $2.70 mark. Locally, Port Huron area pumps are right around the statewide average of $2.80 for regular unleaded.
