There’s a new undersheriff in town. After more than 35 years in law enforcement, Undersheriff Matt Paulus has retired. He was appointed to undershierff by former Sheriff Tim Donnellon in 2018 following the retirement of Tom Buckley. Before that, Paulus was a Captain in the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Mat King announce this week that Captain Jim Spadafore will become the county’s new undersheriff. The changes in leadership took effect March 31st.
