Gas prices decreased slightly over the past week but still not enough to mark the highest prices in over a year. AAA of Michigan says the average price of a gallon or regular unleaded costs approximately $2.75 a gallon, which is six cents less than last week, but 11 cents more than this time last month. The most expensive gas in the state can be found in the Marquette area and the least expensive is in Traverse City. Port Huron area pumps are a couple pennies above the statewide average, are asking about $2.77 a gallon for regular unleaded.
