Two arraigned in connection to stabbing

Two 21 year old men have been arraigned in connection to a stabbing in Port Huron this past Wednesday. Port Huron Police say Joshua David Shreibman from Madison Heights and Devin Michael Convery of Port Huron will face charges including assault with intent to do great bodily harm following the February 24th incident. A 37 year old Port Huron man sought hospital treatment after an argument in the 1600 block of Jay Street resulted in him being stabbed. Schreibman is being held on $50,000 bond and Convery $25,000 bond. Both are housed in the St. Clair County Jail. Convery is also accused of resisting and obstructing police. A probable cause hearing will be held March 9th.

A Burtchville Township man is recovering from multiple stab wounds and two men are in custody following a Wednesday night incident in the City of Port Huron. According to the Port Huron Police Department, the 37 year old man was stabbed at a home in the 1600 block of Jay Street around 8pm Wednesday. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Witnesses advised police the victim had been in an argument with two other men about a vehicle. A 21 year old from Madison Heights is believed to have stabbed the victim and then fled the scene. Another 21 year old who lived at the Jay Street home fled to an apartment on Kraft Road in Port Huron. Both were taken into custody and are lodged in the St. Clair County Jail. The Madison Heights man is expected to face attempted murder charges. The resident of the Jay Street home was arrested on charges of aiding and abetting and resisting and obstructing police.
