
Port Huron city council has approved several hundred thousand dollars worth of new playground equipment for two city parks. The purchase agreements with Penchura LLC were finalized Monday during a regular session city council meeting. They include nearly $150,000 for equipment at Lighthouse Park and $244,000 for new equipment at Palmer Park. Assistance in purchasing the new structures will come from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources trust fund, the Ralph C. Wilson Junior Foundation, and the Community Foundation of St. Clair County.
